Greater Noida is set to get a 4-km elevated road in Dadri as the Greater Noida Authority moves to address persistent traffic congestion on the busy route connecting Tilapta Intersection with the Container Depot. The proposed elevated corridor is aimed at improving traffic movement, particularly for heavy vehicles and container trucks that frequently use this stretch. The Uttar Pradesh Bridge Corporation has been asked to prepare a DPR-cum-feasibility report, which will establish the project’s estimated cost, alignment, width and other technical requirements. The proposed road is expected to separate heavy vehicle movement from local traffic and reduce pressure on the existing road network around Dadri.
Why Is the Dadri Elevated Road Being Planned?
The Tilapta-Dadri-Container Depot route experiences significant traffic pressure because of the movement of container trucks, commercial vehicles and local traffic. Existing infrastructure, including the Dadri Railway Overbridge and Roopbas Bypass, also contributes to traffic movement challenges in the area.
The proposed elevated road is intended to provide a dedicated route for heavy vehicles travelling towards the Container Depot, helping improve the overall flow of traffic on the existing road.
What Will the Proposed Elevated Road Cover?
The planned elevated corridor will stretch for approximately 4 kilometres, connecting:
Tilapta Intersection → Dadri → Container Depot
The exact alignment and technical specifications will be finalised after the DPR and feasibility study are completed.
Real Estate Impact on Dadri and Greater Noida
Improved connectivity is generally an important factor in the development of real estate markets. If the proposed Dadri elevated road progresses to construction and becomes operational, it could improve accessibility between Dadri, Greater Noida and surrounding industrial and logistics areas.
Better traffic movement could also support the long-term development potential of areas along and around this corridor. Improved connectivity to major commercial, industrial and transportation hubs can make locations more attractive for residential, commercial and industrial real estate.
However, the project is currently at the planning and feasibility stage, so its eventual impact on property prices and development will depend on execution, timeline and the final alignment.
